Dolores Belcourt, age 91 of Maxbass, died on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at a Bottineau hospital. A private service will be held.
Dolores Phyllis Belcourt, a daughter of Henry and Ruth (Luddington) Hamel, was born on August 25, 1928. She graduated from Maxbass High school. She married Adrien Phillip Belcourt at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Westhope on November 28, 1947. They moved to a farm near Maxbass in 1959 where they raised their 5 children. She was married for 72 years "To the same man."
Dolores enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, quilting and painting. She worked in the Maxbass Mobil gas station which she owned with her husband. She also helped farm and opened up a ceramic shop. In her later years, she loved playing bingo and pinnacle.
She is survived by her husband; children, Ronnie (Sharon) Belcourt, Thomas Belcourt, Carolyn (John) Mjoen, Cynthia (John) Kellebrew and Michael (Rhonda) Belcourt; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Gale Hamel and Gerald Hamel; sister, Donna Hildenbrand, Patricia Schmidt, Carol Potter and Ruth Ann Tillia and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
