Obituary

Diane S. Gladue, 76, died peacefully on November 29, 2021 at her home.

She was born on August 31, 1945 in Deloraine, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Louis and Winnifred (Pratt) McLeod. Diane graduated from Dunseith High School, class of 1963. She married her sweetheart, Linus

Gladue, on November 25, 1963 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt, ND. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage and had 4 children. Diane was a paraprofessional in the Special Education Department of the Dunseith Public School. She was employed there for 37 years and enjoyed working with the kids. Diane especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, cooking, camping and traveling. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diane had the kindest heart and always had hugs and smiles to anyone she would meet.

Diane is survived by her husband, Linus Gladue of Dunseith; children, Shelly (Mark)Azure, David (Darcy) Gladue, both of Dunseith, Louise (Byron) Davis of Belcourt; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; her siblings, brother, Alvin (Ella) McLeod and sister, Leona LaFloe, both of Belcourt, ND.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, son, Danny Gladue, sisters, Ellen Longie, Martha Bourgeois, and Gladys Burney; brothers, Russell McLeod (stillborn), Ernest McLeod, William (Bill) McLeod, Leonard McLeod, John McLeod and Eddie McLeod.

Visitation will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2 nd at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Dunseith, ND with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Michael Slovak officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
