Deloris "Dolly" Schoonover, age 89 of Rolette, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at a Bottineau hospital.  Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Willow City.  Visitation will be On Monday at the church from 10:00 am until service time.

Deloris Schoonover, a daughter of Joseph and Laverna (Kyle) Due, was born on May 3, 1932 in Bottineau.  She was raised on the family farm near Overly.  She attended country school and later she attended Omemee School.  She then went to The Notre Dame Academy in Willow City where she graduated in 1951.  On December 27, 1954, she married Erven Schoonover.  This marriage later ended.  She worked at the Rolette Hospital, the Rolla Hospital and later the Rolette Nursing Home as the laundry supervisor.  She later worked at the Rolette Motel and Laundry.

She was a member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Willow City and later the Sacred Heart Catholic in Rolette.  Dolly enjoyed gardening, canning and having coffee with her friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Bruce) Diebold of Willow City;  grandsons, Chad Diebold and Lance (Melyssa) Diebold; great grandson; Landon Diebold and a great-granddaughter on the way; sisters, Lorraine Peterson of Dunseith, Joan Vigness of Alexander, ND, Helen Satran of Bowbells, ND and Marian (Mike) Nerpel of Dunseith; sister-in-law, Maria Due of Blaine, WA and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by he brothers, Wayne, Duane and Morris Due.
