In loving memory of Debra Jean Poitra, who passed away peacefully at her home in Dunseith on November 2nd, 2020.

Debra is the daughter of Clarence Willard Poitra and Verna Mildred Poitra of Dunseith, ND. Debra was born on January 31, 1966 in Belcourt, ND. She is the mother of two boys, Joshua John Poitra and the late Thomas James Parisien. One granddaughter Brooklyn Marie Parisien. She attend grade school at Dunseith Day School, and Dunseith High School.

She moved to Grand Forks, ND and pursued various job opportunities, until she moved back to Belcourt. She worked at the Turtle Mountain Manufacturing Plant for 13 years as a forklift operator. She then moved to Fargo with her two boys and pursued a commercial driving career driving truck and school bus for 10+ years. She would later return to her hometown of Dunseith, ND to be closer to family and friends.

She loved to do arts and crafts. She also liked to sew, have movie nights with her boys. She occasionally went on fishing trips with her boys. She liked to joke and tease with family and friends always. Her pride and joy was spending time with her granddaughter whom she loved dearly.

Debra is survived by her son Joshua John Poitra of Fargo, ND, Brooklyn Marie Parisien of Dunseith, ND. Her sister Verna Marie Poitra of Dunseith, ND, Willard David Poitra of Cedar Rapids, IA, Bryan James Poitra of Dunseith, ND, Cathy (Emil) Bradford of Minot, ND.

Debra is proceeded in Death by her son, Thomas James Parisien of Dunseith, ND. Her mother, Verna Mildred Poitra of Dunseith, ND Clarence Willard Poitra of Dunseith, ND. Sisters Karen Ann Short of Dunseith, ND, Judy Lynn Hanks of Minot, ND. She left behind lots of family and friends.

Wake/Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 @ St. Michael the Archangel Church Dunseith, ND. Rosary starts at 9:30am and funeral services to follow at 10:00am and burial services at St. Mary's Cemetery of Dunseith, ND at 11:15am. Funeral arrangements made by Nero's Funeral Home Bottineau, ND and flower arrangements made by Turtle Mountain Floral Bottineau, ND.
