Deborah "Debbie" St. Claire age 53, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family & friends on January 25, 2018.

Debbie was born to Gloria (Bean) and the late Dennis Malaterre on December 16, 1964. She attended Ojibwa Indian School from kindergarten to the 8th grade. She attended high school at TMCHS and graduated in 1982. After high school she met the love of her life Clayton St. Claire Sr., and was united in marriage August 29, 1983 in Rolla ND. They moved to Mayville to attend college and later made their home in Belcourt with their 3 loving children. Debbie started working at Uniband until it closed. Debbie later worked at the Sky Dancer Casino for 13 years, where she became ill and could no longer work due to her health.

Debbie enjoyed bingo, playing at the casino, going out dancing, watching her son dance at pow-wows, shopping for her grandbabies and spending time with family and friends.

Debbie is survived by her children Skye (Derek Whitehurst), Seka (Eric Smith), Clayton Jr. (Amanda Hamley), grandchildren Deaizjah, MeKiyah, Malaki, MeKirah, Derek Jr., Madisyn, Clayton (Chun) Ill, mother Gloria, sisters Joan "KeeKee" St. Claire, Denise "Tunn" (Edward) Davis, nieces Caitlyn, Kennley, Hadley & Mandy, nephew Bodie great nieces Amilli, Amari and mother-in-law June St. Claire.

Debbie is preceded in death by her husband Clayton St. Claire Sr., father Dennis Malaterre and many aunties and uncles.
