David Norquay, age 53 of Dunseith died on Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home.  His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center in Dunseith.  His wake will be on Monday starting at 4:00 pm also at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center.  Burial will be at the St. Sylvan's Cemetery.

David John Norquay, a son o Reuben St. Claire and Mary Alice Norquay on August 11, 1967.  He attended the Dunseith Day School and then later went on to attend the Wahpeton Indian School.  He worked various job through out his life.  He enjoyed doing mechanic work on cars, going to the casino, playing family bingo and spending time with his family and friends.  He always looked forward to the time spent with his kids and grandkids.  He always loved going on new adventures with his two little witches, his nieces Colleen Peltier and Clarinda (Jordan) Aviso.  He was especially close to his sister Sheila Belgarde.

He is survived by his daughter, Charitee Lee Nadeau-Norquay (Allan Bruce); son, Gordon Lee Norquay, Sr (Jenestia Ann Bravebull); grandchildren, Zylee Norquay, Brylee Main, Lilith Bruce, Zarriah Rose Norquay-Bravebull, Annabella Parisien, Breydehn Norquay, Brentlee Norquay, Nakai Norquay, Michael Handeland, Christopher Handeland, Gordon Robert Norquay Jr; sisters, Cheryl (Roger) Poitra, Carol Norquay and Sheila Belgarde; brother, Terrance (Clara) Beston; brother-in-law, Clifford B. Poitra Sr, Godmother, Susan Beston and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death byhis parents; brothers, Robert, Gordon "Gumball", Clarence "Mickey" and many aunts, uncles grandparent a niece and a nephew.
