David Guiswite, age 66 of Bottineau, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 in his hometown of Bottineau. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.

David Guiswite, the son of Ellen Guiswite, was born on September 24, 1955 in Eugene, OR.  After 20 years of living in New Mexico, Dave returned to Bottineau to be closer to his family.  With his love of people, he worked in sales all his life.  If he could talk to someone he would and they'd be laughing as he always was a jokester.

Once home again, he was happiest fishing with his brother-in-law, Steve.  Followed closely by being outside camping or just sitting listening to nature.  He was a great father, papa, unc and brother.  He will be forever missed.

His is survived by his daughter, Christine and her husband Eric Madrid; 4 grandchildren, Madysyn, Paetyn, Jaxyn and Justyn; sister, Mary (Steve) Watson; brother, Charles (Donna) Guiswite; nephew, Scott Watson; nieces, Melissa Stevens, Tara Nicoley and Tamara Quintana.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Guiswite; sister, Wanda; aunt, Olga Schei and grandson, Aaron David.
