Daryl Berentson, age 65 of Newburg, died Friday at Minot.  His funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Dovre Lutheran Church in Newburg.

Daryl Alan Berentson, a son of Bennie and Delnora (Johnson) Berentson, was born on July 31, 1952 at Bottineau.  He grew up on the family farm near Newburg and graduated from Newburg High School in 1970.  He attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton and earned a degree in Auto Mechanics.  He later returned to the family farm where he had lived and worked since.

Daryl was a member of the Dovre Lutheran Church in Newburg.  He enjoyed working on cars and gardening.

Daryl passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017, at Minot.

He is survived by his mother, Delnora of Minot; nephew, Beau Berentson his wife,  Amy of Whitebear Lake, MN and their son Ben; and  nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie and brother, Byrnel.
