Obituary

Darlyne Froseth, age 89 of Bottineau formerly of Kramer, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at a Bottineau hospital.  Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Kramer.

Eva Darlyne Froseth, a daughter of Martin and Ruth (Myles) Thom, was born on May 7, 1935 in Kramer.  She was raised there and graduated from Kramer High School in 1953.She married Gordon Thiel and they had one son, Steve.  They worked together running a dairy farm near Kramer.  Gordon passed away in 1980 at the age of 47.  Steve married Kim Erdmann and they continued to farm.  Darlyne then moved into Bottineau.  She married Jim Froseth and they moved to Minnesota.  They returned to Bottineau in 1992.  Jim passed away in 2004.  Darlyne moved to Minot after breaking her hip.  She lived at the Wellington and later the Somerset.  10 years later, she returned to Bottineau and lived at Oak Manor.  She made many friends along the way.  She later moved into long-term at St. Andrew's Hospital.  There she made more friends that she considered her family.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Kramer where she was active in LWML. Darlyne enjoyed drinking coffee while visiting family and friends.  She loved playing pinochle, doing puzzles, music and singing.  She also enjoyed baking for her family.

She is survived by her son, Steve and his wife, Kim of Kramer; grandson, Jason and his wife, Kari of Bottineau; stepson, Blair Froseth of Minnesota; step daughter, Kersten Crowe; 2 granddaughters, Carol (McFarland) Froseth and Casey Crowe; great grand-daughter, Harper; brother, Mark Thom of Kramer and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Gordan Thiel and Jim Froseth; sisters, Wilma Gust and Lila Johnson and brother, Marvin Thom.

In lieu of flowers, the requests that memorials be given to the North Dakota Boys Ranch or Shepherd's Hill Retreat.

Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.  Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
