Obituary

Daniel C. "Danny" Davis was born on October 20, 1970 in Belcourt, ND to Martha Davis. He passed away on November 27, 2020 in Fargo, ND. Danny was raised in Belcourt, ND and attended Turtle Mountain Community School and graduated in 1990. He then furthered his education in Phoenix, AZ, Turtle Mountain Community College and Bismarck St. Marys. Danny was a security guard at the high school, a plumber, pipe fitter, a former police officer and jack of all trades.

Danny loved spending time with family and friends. He was always visiting and telling jokes. Danny had a gift of gab and made short trips long by talking to everyone. Danny loved to dance and no matter what he was doing he would always bust a move or sing a song even if he didn't know the words. Danny had a love for food. He claimed he was a grilling master and would watch cooking shows and then try to top their recipes. He always looked forward to holidays, birthdays and any special occasions because of the food.  Danny enjoyed playing cards, riding his Harley, watching football and taking family trips. Danny's love for his brother Carson was one of a kind. The many laughs, mechanic work, the bickering back and forth formed a bond that will never be forgotten, especially when they were up to no good together. Not many knew about that second phone call he made to Carson when he was not quite sure how to fix things right. Carson was always Danny's right hand man when it came to getting something done. Danny always made sure Carson was okay going above and beyond to check on him.  But above all, Danny's  greatest praise in his life were his twins. He was a great Dad. He didn't miss any of their games and was always their biggest cheerleader. Danny encouraged them always and never missed a day telling them he loved them. He showed them their faith and you would always see the three of them sitting in church every Sunday. He played football with Tayan and would love to razzle him by teasing him about his Vikings but Danny would always make sure he brought him to a game every season. Danny and Tylee were like 2 peas in a pod. They were so much alike and were always having heated conversations because neither one of them would ever admit they were wrong and they both would always have to have the last word .Danny and Nikki had a love for each other and a strong bond that could never be broken. Danny would always rile her up and then laugh at her but at the end of the day the words love you were always said. Danny would always try to help her cook and if he stirred anything he would always take credit for it. Their love was evident for each other by the life and family they built together. Danny was always the type of man to help anyone in need and took care of his friends like brothers and sisters. Danny will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Danny is survived by his loving companion of 15 years, Nikki Morin; his children the loving twins Tylee and Tayan Davis;  his brother Carson (Tammy) Davis,  and by many loving friends and family.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Martha, his Grandparents Gregory and Elvina (King and Lavin) Davis; his Godfather, Peter Poitra; his uncles Lloyd Davis, George Davis, Charles Davis, Simon Davis, Patrick Davis; his aunts Verna LaFountain, Delores Peltier, Joanne Houle; cousins George "Slick" LaFountain, Garrett "Gullett" LaFountain, Denise Peltier, Ricky LaFountain, nephew Dennis "DJ" Hoeger and brother in law Anthony Hoeger Sr.
