Corey Anthony Poitra was born on February 11, 1982 to Randy Poitra Sr and Geneise Parisien in Grandforks ND and passed away on August 8, 2024 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck ND.

Corey had a Loving Soul he always had to check on those he knew when he would see them around he would always make sure to let everyone know he Loved them very much before he would leave. Corey completed his education at the Dunseith Indian Day School.  Corey also worked Many different odd jobs from Cooking to Construction he did it all. Corey loved his Nieces and Nephews so much they were his whole world. He Especially enjoying Fourth of July with his nieces and nephews it was one of his favorite Holidays every year he made sure the kids had fireworks just to see the kids smile that always made his heart happy. Corey also had 2 sons Corey JR, and Chanceton whom he loved very much. Corey always loved having a good time with family. His family meant everything to him.

Corey Has Survived by his parents Randy Poitra SR and Geneise Pairsien and his siblings, Patrick Sr, Sharise, Shareen, Randy Jr, Nicole, Preston, Shelby, his sons Chanceton, Corey Jr and many nieces and nephews.

Corey was Proceeded in death by his Grand Parents Elmer and Emma Poitra, and August and Rose Parisien. Siblings, Shileen Poitra, Nicholas Poitra, James A and Jenna A. Also many Aunts, Uncles, And Cousins.

Funeral Services will be Held at the Eagle Heart in Dunseith Friday August 16 2024.

Wake starting at 8 am Rosary at 11:30 Funeral mass at 12. Burial to follow before winter.
