Clifford Belgarde, age 81 of Jamestown formerly of Dunseith, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his home in Jamestown. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith. Wake will be on Thursday starting at 4:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery near Dunseith.
Clifford Leo Belgarde, 81, was born into eternity on April 10th, 2021 at home in Jamestown, ND. Clifford was born into time on April 23rd, 1939 to Elsina Rose (Gunville) Belgarde and Frank Belgarde at home in Dunseith, North Dakota. He married the love of his life, Ella Mae Burcham on March 5th, 1959.
He attended school in Dunseith and in Wahpeton, ND later receiving his GED. He attended Greer Tech in Braidwood, Illinois for auto and diesel mechanics. He was a member of the Iron Works Local 793. He was also the owner of Belgarde Construction and Belgarde Salvage.
He was a member of the Saint James Basilica in Jamestown ND. He loved reading Louis LaMoure books, western books, working with cars, collecting old cars and tractors. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his friends, Bernie Michel, Bob Goodroad, Lloyd Windjue, Mylo Gilbertson, and Roger Walters.
He is survived by daughters, Tina (Bill) Busche, Kay (Roger) Benson, Yolanda (Rod) Didier all of Jamestown, Son Leo R. Belgarde Sr. (LaVonne) of Dunseith, Deb Belgarde, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren. Brothers, Darwin Belgarde, Alvin Belgarde; Leslie Belgarde, Lyle Belgarde. Sisters- Norma Belgarde and Ronette Morin, all of Dunseith. Rosemary Bruce (Fargo). Godchildren, James Burcham (Dunseith), & Bonnie (Grandbois).
Clifford was preceded in death by his loving wife Ella Mae, Parents, son- Keith, Gail, Janita & Janice (twins), Lisa and his great grandchildren, Ryder and Ryliegh. Brothers & Sisters - Roy Belgarde, Mary Wilson, Patrick Belgarde, Steven Belgarde, Benny (Enno) Belgarde, Bernard Enno, Shirley Thomas, Edward Belgarde, Francis Belgarde, Dwight Belgarde, all of Dunseith and Louise Crosby, Fargo. Godchild, Clifford James Wilson, Dunseith.
Clifford was known as a man of integrity, honesty, fairness, generous, kindhearted and so much more. He will be greatly missed and always remembered in our hearts.
