Christina Poitra, age 30 of Minot formerly of Dunseith, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at a Minot hospital.  Her service will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center un Dunseith.

Christina 'Chrissy' Louise Poitra cherished every moment with her family. She was a steadfast presence whenever she was needed. The dedication she had for her loved ones was boundless and went above and beyond to provide for them. Her absence will be deeply felt as she
was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and cousin. She will be greatly missed as the family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with our cherished loved ones.

Chrissy peacefully departed this world on August 14, 2024, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind a deep appreciation for the beauty of life.

Born on July 15, 1994, to Vickie Poitra and Michael Cree Sr., she spent her life marked by her fierce spirit and enduring passion for the small things in life. She showed incredible fortitude and strength. She had unwavering resolve, and optimistic outlook that inspired the many that witness her battle that she faced with courage and a spirit that remained unbroken.

Chrissy is survived by her mother Vickie Poitra, father Michael Cree Sr.; brothers Michael Jr., Waylon, Justin; sister Kaitlyn; stepsiblings Timothy, Vivian, Hailey & Kalob; grandparents Eugene & Dorothy Poitra; niece Legindary Marie; godparents Duane & Cheryl Poitra; her beloved dog 'Doug Doug; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her aunt Lisa Poitra (Decoteau), grandparents Melvin Cree & Linda Morin (Cree), great-grandparents Francis & Rose Cree.
