Cherrille McLean, age 85 of Minot, formerly of Bottineau, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at a Minot care center. Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at the United Parish in Bottineau.
Cherrille C. McLean, a daughter of Leonard and Waiva Bergeron, was born on April 4, 1940 Bottineau. She was raised in Bottineau and graduated from Bottineau High School in 1958. On December 21, 1960, she married Keith McLean. They moved to International Falls, MN where Keith worked for the US Border Patrol. They returned to Bottineau in 1970. She worked several jobs, but her favorite was hosting the Sugar and Spice Show on KBTO. They also operated Mac's Clock Shop where she helped make clocks and tables that were shipped to several countries. Keith passed away on March 4, 1995.
Cherrille was an active member of the United Parish in Bottineau, serving on the council and with the Presbyterian Women. She served as an EMT for the Bottineau Ambulance Service where she was known as the good luck charm because she never had to work a serious accident. Cherrille helped start the Bottineau Family Crisis Center. She was also a facilitator for Beginning Experiences. She enjoyed traveling, camping, taking the grandchildren on trips, painting and adult coloring.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Bonn of Minot; son, Steve (Kathy) McLean of Mohall; grandchildren, Ryan Bonn of Pottsboro, TX, Randy (Missy) McLean of Mohall, Renae (KC) Kondos of Bismarck and John (Jessica) Lemieux of Mandan; bonus step granddaughters, Alexandria Bodell of Fargo and Viktoria (Curt) DeJaco of Seminole, FL; great-grandchildren, Kaley and Ellie Bonn, Trinity, Tucker and Emma Lemieux, Megan, Duncan and Cameran McLean, Natalie and Kelsie Kondos; bonus great grandsons Harvey and Teddy Bodell, Beckett and Roman DeJaco; great-great-grandson, Samuel Taylor; brother, Mike (Anne) Bergeron; nephew, Bryce and nieces, Polly, Marianne, Katie and Bobbie.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara McLean.
Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
