Obituary

Carol Lee Trottier 62, Dunseith passed away at her home. Carol was the daughter of the late Beatrice Vivier of Dunseith and late Roy Trottier of Belcourt.  She was born April 18, 1961 with her twin sister (Cheryl DeCoteau) at Belcourt Hospital. She grew up in the Dunseith area, enlisted in the Army National Guard when she was in her 20's where she met and married Clifford J. Martell who was in the United States Marine Corps (1982) they moved to Oceanside California where they made beautiful memories, but they later divorced in 1990. She was a dispatcher at the Dunseith Police Department in her younger years, a CNA at the San Haven and in California, in the early 90's became an in home care provider. Worked at Uniband, INC and went to TMCC where she received her A.S. in the late 90's. She had 4 children: Desiree (Beau) Davis, Joe Martell, Kara (Shelby) Martell, and Jarod Martell

She raised four children and grandchildren, Hailey, Gabriel, Blaze, & Oakley Davis. Dawson, Josiah, Trey, Aiyana, Michael, Nova & Jazlyn Martell. She also adored & cherished her great grand babies Brielle & Amara Davis where she would rock them to sleep on her favorite recliner.

She loved listening to her Bee Gees, playing cards with the grand kids. She loved playing at the casino, getting her hair and nails done. She was the grandkids biggest supporter in whatever sports. She liked to ride her bike, go swimming, listen to her granddaughter Hailey sing,  cook for grandkids- make Blaze his cake with chocolate frosting, making Oakley PB & Jelly, cheeseburger & Mac & Cheese. She was known for her fry bread- everyone always requested her to make it. She loved having sleep overs, watching her old favorite movies, watch her crime shows like Forensic Files on Hula (Hulu) LOL. She was generous and kind hearted, she would literally give her shirt off her back. Always wanted to help people and give to anyone in need.

She had a close relationship with her children, nieces and nephews. Nicole Reatigue and kids, Rhonda (Baker) and Renee Belgarde, Terry, Larrissa Vivier, Tyra and Everette DeCoteau. She was always down for trick or treating, going down the water slide, tubing (sledding). She was very family oriented. Her children loved her scary stories but always had to end with her funny story (where the chicken fell in the scrap bucket and her twin Cheryl did CPR and saved it).

She survived by her brothers and sister: Gary (Fudgie) Vivier, Randy Vivier, twin Cheryl DeCoteau (John Henry), Andrew Gladue (Kim Poitra), Jason Vivier.
