Burna St. Germaine, age 54 of Dunseith, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at a Fargo hospital.  Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center in Dunseith.  Her wake will begin on Thursday at 3:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at the center.

Burna Lee Gooden was born on March 19, 1968 in Belcourt N. D. to Emil SR and Leona Gooden, She attended boarding school at Wahpeton Indian School and Flandreau SD. Burna Lee is the Youngest of 10 siblings.  Burna worked various Jobs such as Hotel work, Cashier Attendant, Restaurant Hostess, Her favorite Job was a Traffic Controller: Construction Road, Burna was the Proud mother of three Children, Cori Jean, Tara Lee and Evan Ray.

Burna Loved Her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.  She had an amazing Sense of humor and Beautiful smile. Burna was an awesome Friend to many people. She was a tremendous Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Daughter & Sister. Burna will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family members and many friends.

Burna is Survived by her three children, Cori (Ty) Knudson of Mandan N. D. Tara Willard of Fargo N. D. and Evan Gooden of Fargo N. D. Ten grandchildren: Rae'Lee Vossler, Eli Flying Horse, Enzo, Eon and Ty'Lee Knudson, Sienna King, Ethan & Emily Willard, Evalyna, and Everest Gooden,  Mother Leona Gooden of Belcourt N. D. Siblings Linda Gooden Thomas of Dunseith, N.D., Dorothy Gooden - Miller of Fargo. ND Emil Gooden SR of Rugby N. D. Barbara (Glenn) Gooden - Davis of Billings, MT Debbie Ann Gooden - Meng of Sioux Falls S.D. Glenda Gooden of Fargo N. D. Brenda Gooden of Fargo N. D. Eric Gooden and Candia Gooden of Devils Lake N. D.  Aunty: Loretta Jeanie Villeneuve numerous Nieces & Nephews

Burna was preceded in death by her father Emil Gooden SR. Brothers Errol & Cameron Gooden Sister Cinnamon Gooden Nephew Earion Peltier. Grandparents Alfred and Rachel Villeneuve, and Albert Moses and Mary Gooden. Numerous aunties and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
