Obituary

Betty Ann Nadeau, age 69 of Dunseith, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at a Rolla hospital.  Her wake will held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 starting at 4:00 pm with a rosary service at 7:00 pm at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center in Dunseith.  Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Betty (Pauline Peltier)Nadeau was born in Belcourt ND on July 9, 1952 to Ernest Peltier and Mary Demery Peltier. She attended school in Dunseith, ND and Wahpeton ND. She had five children and adopted her niece. She moved to Grafton ND where she worked as a nurses assistant at the Grafton State hospital. She moved around from Grand Forks, Fargo, Moorhead, etc. She then settled in Everett WA where she was a stay at home mom. She moved back to Dunseith where she lived out the remaining days of her life. She was married in Bottineau ND to Gerald Nadeau but eventually separated.

She is survived by her children Clarence Peltier of Dunseith, Celeste(Charles)Zornes of Lengby MN, Tonya Peltier of Dunseith, Lawrence Peltier of Dunseith and Felishia Vondal (Tyrone) of Bismarck. Brothers Clarence (Ruthie) Peltier of Grand Forks, Ernest Peltier of Dunseith, Francis Peltier of Dunseith, Eli (Kim) Peltier of Dunseith, Harvey (Rita) Peltier of Belcourt, Albert(Marlys)Peltier of Minot. Sisters Ernestine (Mickey) Azure of Dunseith, Marita (David) Champagne of Dunseith , Carmen Peltier of Dunseith, Roberta (Wyman) Enno of Dunseith. Grandchildren Christian Buehner of MN, Michael Buehner of Grafton ND, Misty Murray of MN, Donovan Murray of MN, Chelsi Davis of Dunseith, Lawrence Peltier jr. of Dunseith, Kenzie Davis of Bottineau, Kyrene Davis of Dunseith, Dalton Davis of Dunseith, Harley Peltier of Grand Forks, Aaliyah Davis of Grand Forks, Dalton Nadeau of Dunseith , Braiden Nadeau of Dunseith , Rayann Peltier of Dunseith. She had many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Aunts Mary Rose(Roger) Counts of Dunseith, Ruth Hunt of Dunseith, Mabel St.Pierre of Dunseith, Uncle Bilay of Canada.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest Peltier and Mary Demery Peltier, daughter Misty Peltier, grandson Dominic Buehner, sister Rose Peltier, brothers Permis Peltier, Lawrence Peltier and many aunts and uncles.

She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her favorite thing was getting together with family and friends to visit, picnic out at the lake, play cards. She also enjoyed bingo and the casino. She was a good mother and wonderful grandmother. She loved taking care of and helping people, which she did alot of.
