Betty Lou Lund, age 81, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at a hospital in Mesa, AZ. A small family memorial service will be held in Bottineau, North Dakota this summer.

Born October 5, 1939 in Bottineau, ND, Betty is the daughter of Elmo and Dorothy (Meyer) Brunsvold. She grew up in Newburg, ND with her brother Jule and sister Kay. Betty enjoyed playing basketball for Newburg in school and spending timeTonneson's store. Betty was married to Orvell Lund in 1956, and they had 4 children, Ardell, Verdell, Wendell and Byrnae. Betty was a devoted mother and took care of their family home near Bottineau. In 2009, Betty moved to Mesa, AZ to start a new adventure. She loved the year-round sunshine and the break from harsh North Dakota winters. It wasn't long before Betty had earned a reputation as an extremely hard worker, and a loyal friend to those around her.

Betty is known for her adventurous spirit, her enduring smile, and her contagious laughter. She had an anecdote for every situation and friends say she never told the same joke twice. She enjoyed traveling to new places and was excited to meet new people and make new discoveries. Betty made new friends with people everywhere she went, whether during her travels or just walking through the neighborhood she could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere.

Betty is survived by her children: Ardell (Joan) Lund, Verdell (Kristy) Lund, Wendell Lund, and Byrnae (Max) Feight; 5 grandsons: Derek, Shaine, Shelby (Samantha), and Casey (Corina) Lund, and Jason (Heidi) Feight and their families; nephew Corey Thompson and 2 nieces Taryce Olson and Mysti Griswold. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmo and Dots Brunsvold, brother Jule Brunsvold and sister Kay Thompson.
