Audrey Stenberg, age 87 of Lake Metigoshe, died Wednesday at her home.  Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at the Lake Metigoshe Christian Center.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 5:00 pm all at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.

Oddbjorg Agnes (Audrey) Stenberg, a daughter of Torberg and Bestemore Kalsnes was born on January 24, 1931 at Lyngdal, Norway.  She was raised in Norway and after completion of her formal education, she worked as a hairdresser.  She moved to Galveston, TX in 1954 and there is where she met Leonard Tofteland.  They were married in 1959 and they lived at Antler, ND.  Leonard passed away in 1972.  Audrey moved to Lake Metigoshe in 1978.  She worked at the Lake Metigoshe Christian Center for a number of years.  She married Robert Stenberg in 1989.  Robert passed away in 1996.  In 2002, she met Leroy Sandvik and they were close companions until his death in 2009.

Audrey was a member of the Metigoshe Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Sons of Norway.

She is survived by her Daughter, Lisa Sorenson of Bottineau; sons, Scott (Tammy) Tofteland of Waupun, WI and Chris (Nancy) Tofteland of Minot; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and one sister, Gunver Kalsnes of Spain.
