Angela "Angie" Bercier, age 59, of Bottineau, North Dakota, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Metigoshe Ministries Church.  The service will be livestreamed at https://youtube.com/@metigoshelutheranchurch?si=dTucXzC5OwWCiIqc .

Angie was born on September 13, 1966, in Bottineau the firstborn daughter of Bill Crooks and Gloria Norman. The family made their home in Lorraine before moving to Mohall, North Dakota. After Angie began school, the family relocated to Souris, North Dakota, and later to Great Falls, Montana. During her high school years, Angie lived with her grandmother, Evelyn, a time that deeply shaped her values. Their close bond was one of love, guidance, and mutual respect, and it remained a meaningful influence throughout Angie's life.

Angie became a mother in December of 1984 to her daughter Ashly, and again in June of 1987 to her daughter Nichole. As a single mother, Angie carried both roles with determination, grit, and grace. She worked tirelessly to provide stability, structure, and opportunity for her daughters, modeling independence, resilience, and an unshakable work ethic. Her girls always knew they were her greatest priority, and her love was steady, fierce, and unconditional.

Even with the demands of single motherhood, Angie believed life was meant to be lived fully. She made space for joy especially on weekends spent in the Turtle Mountains, horseback riding, exploring the outdoors, and creating simple traditions that became lifelong memories.

Angie had a lifelong love for animals and a heart for rescuing those in need. Her home was always open to animals who needed care, comfort, and a second chance, and her compassion for the was evident to everyone who knew her.

In 2001, Angie met Dale Bercier during a night out in Bottineau. There was always playful debate about who "snagged" whom, but anyone who knew them could see it was a perfect match. They were married in 2007 at St. Mark's Catholic Church and made their home in Bottineau. Together, they tackled many home remodeling projects before settling into their beautiful home nestled in the Turtle Mountains—a space that reflected Angie's natural eye for decorating, warmth, and attention to detail.

Along with their three children—Ashly, Nichole, and Mark—Angie and Dale created a blended family filled with laughter, humor, and an endless supply of jokes.

Angie's greatest joy was being a grandmother. She was hands-on, playful, and endlessly imaginative always ready to jump into pretend play, create magical moments, and meet her grandchildren right where they were. Whether she was telling stories, playing make-believe, or simply being present, Angie made each of her four grandchildren and grand-nieces feel deeply loved, seen, and cherished. To them, she wasn't just Grandma, she was magic.

Angie is survived by her husband, Dale Bercier; her daughter Ashly (Ian) Barta and their children Cash, Presley, and Walker; her daughter Nichole Crooks and son Killian; her son Mark Bercier; her sisters Laurie (Larry) Lord and Dawn (John) Herschlip, half-sister Katie Crooks, niece Jessica Schell, nephews Cody Brink(Ariel), Kasey Hiatt, Jarrett Lord, and Tanner Lord. Great nieces Ava, Ziah, Selah, and Ember.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria Norman and Bill Crooks, and her sister, Billie Jean Schell
