Amy Marie Gunville, age 50 of Dunseith died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at New Town, ND. Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dunseith.
Amy Marie Gunville was born June 21, 1970 in Alameda, California. She passed away in New Town, North Dakota on September 30, 2020. She was the youngest of two children born to Sandra (Leslie) Azure.
Amy grew up in Dunseith, North Dakota and attended school there until graduation in 1988. After graduation, Amy attended the Turtle Mountain Community College. While there, she earned her Associate of Arts degree, as well as, multiple certificates in Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Business, and Sales and Marketing. She also attended Haskell University in Lawrence, Kansas.
Amy was employed by the Dunseith Public School for 19 years before her medical departure. Amy then pursued employment in New Town.
Amy was blessed with six beautiful children whom she loved and adored. Her five sons, Matthew, Michael, Jacob, Jayden, and Tristen, and one daughter, Janae. Her children meant the world to her. She cherished every special moment with them, especially their birthdays and holidays; which she tried to make extra special for them.
Along with spending time with her children, Amy loved to travel. Some of her favorite places to visit were New York City, Washington, D.C, St. Louis, Las Vegas, and Wisconsin. She was looking forward to her next trip to Los Angeles, California.
Amy is survived by her parents, Sandra and Les Azure, sons Matthew, Michael, Jacob (Shananda), Jayden, and Tristen, daughter Janae, granddaughters Ka'leia and A'laiyah, grandsons Jesse, Bently, and Bostyn, brothers Mike (Jody) and Chad (Shelby), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Amy was preceded in death by grandparents, Andrew and Laverne Gunville, Joseph and Delores Peltier, and Frank and Agnes Azure, aunts, Betty Delorme, Denise Peltier, and cousins, Adam Peltier, Robert Peltier and Logan Langland.
Amy will always be remembered for being so giving and kind. Her smile and fun-loving personality, and her loving and caring nature. She will be greatly missed by so many.
