Obituary

Allen Michael Morin, age 36 of Belcourt, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 near Belcourt.  His funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 10:00 am at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt.  His wake will be on Sunday beginning at 7:00 pm at the Church.

Allen Micheal Morin was born on June 24, 1984 in Belcourt ND to Gail (Short) Morin and the late Kenneth Morin. He was raised in Dunseith ND, but went to Turtle Mountain Community schools where he participated in wrestling and football. Allen graduated high school in 2002. After high school, he worked numerous jobs, but dedicated many years to the Sky Dancer Hotel & Casino. He also obtained his CDL license from the Turtle Mountain Community College in 2015, which he was extremely proud of. Allen was currently employed at the Turtle Mountain Recycling Center, and he loved his job very much.

Allen was passionate about many things, but nothing compared to the love of his life and his family. On February 16, 2008 Allen met the love of his life, Raelynn Morin, and they were united in marriage on July 5, 2014. Together, they made their home in Belcourt where they raised their 2 daughters, Teisha and Savanna Morin.

Allen was always known for his infectious smile that lit up a room and his love for the Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing, camping and hunting. In his free time, he enjoyed chopping/hauling wood, playing pool, and spending time with his many friends.

Allen is survived by his wife, Raelynn Morin; daughters, Teisha and Savanna Morin; mother, Gail Morin all of Belcourt ND; brothers and sister, Alfred Morin of Trenton ND, Kenneth Morin of Beulah ND, Amanda (Monte) Brown of Hillsboro ND, Timothy Morin Jr. of Belcourt ND, Francis Morin of Bismarck ND, and Waylon Morin of Belcourt ND. He is also survived by uncles, Edward Short, John Short, Terry Morin, Clifford Morin, Gordon Morin and Dennis Morin; aunts, Shirley (Mike) Lavallie, Irene Vann, Gailene Morin, and Carol (John) Rivera; nieces and nephews, Jessa Morin, Jasmine Morin, Kiara Morin, Skylar Brown, Tein Morin, and Mercedes Morin.

Allen was proceeded in death by his father, Kenneth Morin; grandparents, Cecelia and Alfred Short, Agnes and Peter Morin; uncles, Robert Morin, Larry Morin, Edwin Morin, Marlin Morin, Maynard Short, and Alfred Short Jr; aunts, Colleen Morin, Linda (Short) Demery, and Maryann Lavallie.
