Debra Swain-Krom, age 56, died February 7, 2013 at Trinity Hospital in Minot. Visitation will be Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm in the Nero Fuineral Home in Bottineau. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 am in the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Cremation will take place after the services. Debra was born February 16, 1956, in Belcourt to Joseph Swain Jr. and Esther G. Vivier. She was reared and attended school in Belcourt, Rolla and Cando. She worked as a CNA in Devils Lake and Bismarck. she also worked as a seamstress in Devils Lake making military tents. She moved back to Belcourt to care for her father. Debra had many past times she loved: spending time with family and friends, reminiscing of growing up in the “bush” of the Turtle Mountains, Cooking great meals, gardening and lawn ornaments, amateur antique appraiser, and going to the casino. Debra spent most of her life caring for those with disabilities. She also loved taking care of her dogs and never turned a stray away.
Debra is survived by twin sons, Travis Krom and his companion Angelia of Belcourt and Torrey Krom Both of Belcourt; a daughter, April Francis Anderson of Belcourt; 3 grandchildren, Joseph Anderson, Surri and Sierra Krom; sister, Carla Christopherson and her companion, Curtis Odden of Mandan and Virginia and her husband Allen DeCoteau of Bismarck; and a brother, Joseph Leon Laducer and his wife Valarie of Lawrence, KS.
