LOUISE H. PELTIER

Mass Of The Christian Burial was celebrated for Louise H. Peltier, age 69 of Dunseith, on Monday at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Michael’s Of The Archangel Church in Dunseith. Burial was in the St. Louis Cemetery of Dunseith. The Celebrant for the Mass was The Reverend Father Mark Wheelan S.O.L.T.

Louise H. Peltier, a daughter of John and Clara (Belgarde) Demery, was born on August 31, 1943 in Dunseith. She attended Dunseith Day School in her younger years. She resided in Dunseith, North Dakota throughout most of her life. In 1973 she married her companion, Donald Peltier of forty-six years in Dunseith. Louise was a homemaker and housewife.

Louise loved spending time with family and friends and going to rummage sales and thrift stores. She also loved to play cards, and lets not forget, the casino where she loved her penny machines.

Louise passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 in a Minot hospital.

She is survived by her husband Donald Peltier of Dunseith; two sisters, Maryrose Counts and Ruth Hunt of Dunseith; one brother, Jerry Demery of Dunseith; four daughters, Louise Peltier and Phyllis Peltier both of Fargo, ND, and Ruby LaVallie and Delima Peltier both of Dunseith; four sons, Phillip Peltier, James Demery and Darrel Belgarde all of Dunseith and Clarence Belgarde of Belcourt, ND; four step-children, Rita Peltier of Belcourt, Jay Peltier of Fargo, Duane Peltier of Belcourt and Earl St.Claire of Minneapolis, MN; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, John Demery and Clara Belgarde; three brothers, Eli Demery, Clarence Demery, Collin Demery; five sisters, Lillian Demery, Mary Peltier, Marline Schroeder, Emma Demery and Delima Demery; one grandson, Terrance Beston; and many nieces and nephews.

Lord we come to you with our humble prayers asking you for strength, for we have lost our precious grandmother. Our hearts are broken and we need you to keep us in the shelter of your arms; to lead us, guide us and carry us through as we say farewell to our precious grandmother. Let our hearts be at peace, knowing she is in heaven with you.
