Marian Albright, age 90 of Willow City, died Thursday at a Mohall nursing home. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the First Lutheran Church in Willow City. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery at Willow City.
Marian (Cooke) Albright was born on August 26, 1922 to Melville and Margaret Cooke in Willow City. She attended Willow City Public School and graduated in 1940. She married Vernon Albright on December 7, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home on the farm north of Willow City. Vernon passed away on April 4, 2010.
Marian was the oldest member of the First Lutheran Church in Willow City and was a 63 year charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lynn (Robert) Solberg of Kingwood, TX; son, Gary (Marlys) Albright of Mohall, ND; Granddaughters, Angella (Brandon) Popinga of Fargo, ND, Pam (Hunter) Jesse of Kingwood, TX, Ashley(Juan) Eraas of Appleton WI; Grandsons Scott (Mary) Solberg of The Woodlands, TX, Jeff (Lauree) Solberg of Houston, TX, Cory (Holly) Albright of Helena, MT, Shane Eraas of Pasadena, CA and Scott Eraas of Atlanta, GA, 17 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melville and Margaret Cooke and her husband of 67 years, Vernon “Bud” Albright.
