Marion M Biberdorf

Marion M. Biberdorf, age 83 of Bottineau died Tuesday at a Bottineau nursing home. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bottineau. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Burial will be at the Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau.

Marion Biberdorf, a daughter of Alex and Alice (Crowder) Marsden, was born on June 7, 1928 at Bottineau. She was reared in the Turtle Mountains where she attended country school. She later graduated from Bottineau High School and the Bottineau School of Forestry. On December 30, 1950, she married Walter Biberdorf at Bottineau. They farmed in Willow Vale Township north of Willow City where they lived until moving into Bottineau in the 1980’s. Walter passed away on April 7, 2010.

Marion was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Willow City and later the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bottineau. She was active in the initiating and working at the Lutheran Braille Center. Marian was also an avid Twins fan.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Jean) Biberdorf of Williston and Robert (Arlene) Biberdorf of Fargo; grandchildren, Melissa DeFilippo of Denver, CO, Kevin (Maria) Biberdorf of Minneapolis and Tim (Lindsey) Biberdorf of Minneapolis; one great-grandchild, Charlotte Biberdorf; sisters, Judy Nelson of Bottineau, Patricia (Lowell) Koppang of Williston and Grace (Glen) Matthews of Fergus Falls, MN and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the requests the memorials be given the Braille Center #133, c/o Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 715 10th St East, Bottineau, ND 58318. Arrangements were with Nero Funeral in Bottineau. Friends may sign the online register book at www.nerofuneralhome.net.
