Ronald H. Wagner, age 68 of Bottineau, died Tuesday at a Bottineau hospital. Funeral will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bottineau. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday from 10:00 am until noon at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Burial will be at the Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau.
Ronald Herbert Wagner, a son of Herbert and Aldia (Lord) Wagner, was born on July 9, 1943 at Bottineau. He was reared there and graduated from Bottineau High School in 1961. Following the completion of his formal education, he worked construction in Minot and Bottineau. On August 31, 1963, he married Janice Erven at Bottineau. In 1969, he began working for the NDDOT. In 1976, he became the maintenance supervisor. Ronald retired in 1999 due to his health.
Ronald was a member of the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bottineau. He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of Bottineau; daughter, Brenda (Gerald) Anderson of Kodiak, AK; grandson, Clifford Anderson and granddaughter, Niky Anderson both of Kodiak, AK; sister, Laverne (Jerald) Forschen of Remar, MN; brother, Roger Wagner of Kodiak, AK; aunt, Eva Cossette of Breckenridge, MN; 4 nephews, 3 nieces and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his son, Allen Wagner; grandson, Jeffrey Wagner and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements were with Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau.
